A new way to network at IG Apex Summit
We’ve heard your feedback that IG Apex Summit is the gateway to peer connection, and we’re back with new technology to make networking even easier. Nothing replaces connecting in person…but this comes close. Now introducing Gatherly, a free-moving, spatial video chat platform that simulates networking at a live event.
With Gatherly, you’ll be able to virtually “walk around” and network spontaneously with individuals and groups, just like you would at an in-person conference. The platform is organized by “event floors” containing different themes within the “event building”. Click around a floor to speak with other attendees or join existing groups of attendees to video chat.
If you’d like to explore a different topic, take the “elevator” to another floor. Or, use the search function to find specific attendees. Don’t worry – you can’t get lost. An event guide will be available from a drop-down PDF on every floor with a legend to help you navigate. Access Gatherly on the Intrado platform by clicking the Gatherly tab on the top navigation bar or by following one of the Gatherly display ads rotating within Intrado.

IG Social Hour is going “Back to the 80’s” on September 21 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. EDT . This is an opportunity to virtually reconnect with peers, like never before, using the Gatherly platform. Each floor offers a different theme and style of connecting so you can choose to network in a way that works best for you.

The Lounge is a space made for socializing, with designated interest areas on the map where you can meet with peers from across Canada to discuss fun topics such as music, movies, travel, sports, or even visit the “Chia-pet Lounge” to show off your pets on camera.
Click around the floor to start conversations with individuals or join existing groups of up to 15 participants. You can easily lock your conversation for privacy or to chat in smaller group sizes.
Transport Back to the 80’s with local Toronto musical duo, JJ and Alyssa, as they kick off IG Social Hour with a top 80’s hits before taking requests from the audience. JJ and Alyssa will be playing in sets, so visit them at the stage to request a song or chat with other participants before they get back on stage.
Visit the Arcade for a Jeopardy-style game show, hosted by Impact4Good’s Tom Farndon. Be sure to brush up on your 80’s pop-culture and world events to win points for your IG charity partner of choice.
The game show can be played in both English and French but will be live hosted in English only. For the best user experience, please have a smartphone or smart device handy to connect to Impact4Good’s trivia app (no download required).

IG Regional Connect is a networking session designed for reconnecting our regions. Seven floors are available, offering a defined space for each area across Canada and one National floor. Simply navigate to your area floor to meet with colleagues in your region. All area floors will include a general networking space located in the centre of the map where you can mingle with Consultants and executives from other regions.
You will first enter the event on the National floor. Simply click on the elevators to select your area floor and to find your region space. Choose to stay on the National floor to meet new contacts from across Canada.

IG Sessions in Focus provides a space to discuss new learnings from the IG Apex Summit agenda with peers and speakers. Use this time to consider innovative ideas from mainstage and ed-track speakers and discuss how your team can implement these ideas into your practice.
Each floor has a theme and a practice-related question on the map to reference for discussion inspiration. The map also includes session spaces which relate to the overarching theme.
